enjoy their favorite hymns. Built and maintained independently, the app brings together music, lyrics, sheet music, and offline access, making worship music more accessible to people around the world.

Adventist Hymnal App

A platform I built to help Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs spend less time on administrative work and more time making a difference in children's lives. From registrations and event planning to attendance tracking and curriculum progress, AdventClubs brings everything club leaders need into one place.

Designed, developed, and launched independently, with a focus on making club management simpler for volunteers and families.

Human Model

I've created a social platform where users can share music of their own. Authors can upload their own music and share it with the community, other members can listen to the published songs and albums.

The app allows authors to create albums and add as many songs as needed to the album. After the albums is published, it will appear in the main page, users can also find new music on the explore module, where they can apply a couple of filters to find new music.

The platforms allow members to follow other authors and users, each user will have an individual timeline on the profile page, this timeline will show activities from the following users.

Users can also contact other members using the messaging system.

For the backend I used Laravel, A PHP framework to build applications. Laravel is responsible to access the data from the MySQL database and give it to the client through a REST API.

The client is a React application, all the data is send back end forth using fetch. For the client I used Webpack to automate the builds, Babel to compile ES6 to ES5 and add support for older browsers.

This app is deployed to production and now serving over 50K registered users, but in addition to that I decided to sell the software so other people can also create their own communities.

, or perhaps you might want to create your

? If that's the case, please consider buying this software.

Music App for Web

I built the first version of this app in PhoneGap using Sencha Touch back in 2011. This was my first mobile application and it was a fun small project. In 2013 I migrated this app to Sencha Touch 2, added new features and changed the original design.

After React Native was released as open source in February 2015, I decided to learn this amazing technology. I started the migration of this app to React Native, I did several mistakes on the learning process and it took me several months to come up with a stable release, mainly because I had to refactor my code several times as I was learning more and more about the library.

The latest version of this app supports login with Facebook. The app request data from an API build with Laravel, the users can store their favorite songs and keep the history of the played songs. The app allows users to play each song, save it as favorites with offline support.

. Both apps are sharing the same code with a couple differences in the design implementation.

While the app is very simple, the backend on the other hand has support for comments, support for playlists, allow users to create albums and upload mp3 files to each album, support for administrators to write post and manage users among many other things. The idea here is to allow the community to share their songs with other users to make the app more social.

To manage the API, I created an Angular.js app. I used webpack to handle the dependencies and included babel to support ES6.

I did all this during the weekends or nights, it was just to learn and have some fun in the process.

Himnario Adventista

This was my first React Native application deployed to the Apple Store. Is a very simple app that shows a list of podcasts, users can select any from the list and listen the podcast.

I created this app in order to learn React Native, one of my friends creates podcast and uses podomatic to upload the mp3 files. I created a simple node script that request the RSS feed from podomatic and creates a JSON file with the latest content.

The React Native app, fetch the JSON file from one of my servers and display the new content on the app. Users can download the file to listen the podcast offline.

The app is for iPhones devices only and you can

Creed en sus Profetas

Quizzpot is an online e-learning platform. I build this web app back in 2013 as a side project, it contains several courses about JavaScript and different other frameworks.

Authors can create courses with videos, articles and quizzes, the courses can be free or paid. Paid courses are available only for members that signed up to the course, the content is hidden for everyone else, except a couple of lessons the author can set as preview.

Members can contact the admin, authors or other members by a messaging system. They can also ask questions in the forum and suggest new courses as well as voting on existing recommendations.

The admin has a dashboard that shows useful insights about the email campaigns as well as the popular content, sales and a bunch of other things.

The backend is build in Rails, there's a mysql database to manage all the data. Rails provides a REST API to feed the data to an Angular JS client.

For unregister visitors, the app uses rails to render the content, as of now the views are not responsive for visitors, but for the members all the content is displayed in a SPA.

The SPA is build with Angular 1.6. It contains several modules for admins, authors and members. All the communication with the server is done through Ajax request to consume the REST API.

The platform integrates Stripe and Paypal to handle the payments, members can buy individual courses. One of the
